South32 designed Hermosa to support long-term employment, with a goal of hiring up to 80% of its workforce locally in roles spanning skilled trades, technology, operations and professional services.

Funding Community Services
South32 is expected to generate $26 million in local taxes and $29 million in state taxes annually through the project, supporting schools, infrastructure, and essential public services across Arizona.
